The 10 Weirdest JFK Assassination Conspiracy Theories

*grabs tin foil hat*

John F. Kennedy may have been assassinated back in 1963, yet some dedicated tin-foil-hat folks are still dedicated to cracking the case, determined that there must have been something more at play when it comes to the death of our 35th President. But as anyone on Reddit can attest, not all theories are created equal.

From Woody Harrelson's dad to a spontaneously combusting head, here are the 10 weirdest JFK assassination conspiracy theories.

    What The Harrelson?

“Woody Harrelson's dad was a contract killer who was thought to be involved in JFK's assassination.”

    Solo Explosion

The newest conspiracy theory surrounding the JFK assassination hints there was no shooter: The President’s head just exploded on its own. Though most likely a joke, the theory, which has been trending on dating apps in Texas, has been dubbed the “no-bullet theory,” per Texas Monthly.

    Driving Him Crazy

To some tin-foil-hat wearers — including Redditor LL_Regrets_LL, the President’s limo driver was responsible for the killing. “John F. Kennedy Assassination Revealed!” they wrote on Reddit. “JFK was shot by his limo driver, William Robert Greer, seen with a compressed air gun.”

    Lyndon’s Longing

Another theory claims that it was actually JFK’s second in command, Lyndon B. Johnson, who had his boss killed, per attorney Craig Zirbel. In a move that former Vice President Cheney could have only dreamed of, this conspiracy alleges that Johnson orchestrated the ordeal to make it into the Oval Office.

    Three Shots You’re Out

“A theory exists that JFK was shot by Oswald initially, but the 3rd shot came from the discharged AR-15 rifle of the Secret Service in the car following behind. The literal smoking gun evidence here being the fragmentation of the 3rd shot varies differently from the first 2 shots from Oswald”

The Mystery of the Babushka Lady

“The Babushka Lady is an unidentified woman present during the 1963 assassination of JFK, who appeared to be taking photos as other witnesses took cover. Her identity, along with her photos, remain unknown.”

    Mafia Moves

“There’s reasonable grounds to believe that the mafia took him out. The Kennedy’s kept very dangerous bedfellows and used Sam Giancana and the mob in getting Kennedy elected. To keep this short: when JFK appointed his brother Robert as attorney general there was widespread unrest in the mafia about the zealous manner in which Bobby went after those that helped get his brother elected. In Charles Brandt’s book ‘I Heard You Paint Houses’ Frank Sheeran (The Irishman) more or less describes how the mafia plotted to kill Kennedy using a ‘dummy’ to fire the weapon. The dummy in this case would be Oswald. It’s a much more cogent argument for a likely conspiracy than anything I’ve heard before. Even then, who knows.”

    The Umbrella Man

“The mysterious ‘Umbrella Man’ (aka Louie Steven Witt) of the JFK assassination said, ‘I think if the Guinness Book of World Records had a category for people who were at the wrong place at the wrong time, doing the wrong thing, I would be No. 1 in that position, without even a close runner-up.’”

    Grassy Knoll

“There were 121 witnesses to the JFK assassination, and 51 of them believed shots came from the grassy knoll. A further study examined 64 witnesses, with over half putting gunshots from the knoll.”

    A Conspiracy Within A Conspiracy

To some, the idea of a conspiracy surrounding John F. Kennedy’s Death is the real conspiracy. "The JFK conspiracy was started by the KGB to sow dissent in the USA ,” joked one Redditor, citing an alleged joke made by a “low-level diplomat.”
